Give your hamburgers a Greek-inspired twist by adding minced onion flakes, garlic and oregano to your ground lamb or beef. Topping it with yogurt sauce.
PREP TIME: 10 Minutes
COOK TIME: 12 Minutes

1-1/4 lbs lean ground lamb or beef
1 tbsp. plus 1 tsp, dehydrated minced onion flakes, divided
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt
1/2 cup chopped unpeeled cucumber
1 tsp, dried oregano leaves
4 pits pocket breads, warmed if desired
4 leaves romaine lettuce
4 large slices of tomato
1-1/4 tsp, bottled minced garlic, divided

Step 1  Step 1:
Prepare gas or charcoal grill or preheat broiler.
Step 2  Step 2:
In a medium bowl, combine meat, 1 tbsp. onion, 1 teaspoon garlic, salt, and pepper, mixing lightly but thoroughly.
Step 3  Step 3:
Shape to form four 1/2-inch thick patties. Place patties on grill over medium-hot coals or on rack of broiler pan. Grill or broil 4 to 5 inches from heat source, for 10 to 12 minutes or until center of burgers are no longer pink, turning once.
Step 4  Step 4:
Meanwhile, combine yogurt, cucumber, oregano leaves, remaining 1 teaspoon onion and 1/4 teaspoon garlic and mix well.
Step 5  Step 5:
Cut tops off of pita bread and open into pockets. Fill each pocket with lettuce, tomato, and a meat pattie. Top with yogurt mixture.
